Our cutting-edge platform connects healthcare professionals with temporary work opportunities across the UK, streamlining the process for both locums and healthcare providers. We've experienced exponential growth and are now seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of Marketing to join our leadership team and drive our next phase of expansion.

Role Overview

We are looking for an exceptional Head of Marketing to lead and elevate our marketing function. This is a pivotal role for a strategic and hands-on leader who can shape our brand narrative, expand our market presence, and deliver a best-in-class customer acquisition and retention strategy. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and executing our marketing strategy from the ground up, building a high-performing team, and ensuring our marketing efforts directly contribute to our ambitious growth targets.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of scaling B2B and B2C SaaS businesses. You are a data-driven marketer who understands the nuances of digital marketing, content creation, brand building, and performance marketing. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment, and possess the leadership skills to inspire and mentor a team.

Job Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within a SaaS, marketplace, or tech-led business.
  • Expertise: Deep understanding of full-funnel marketing, from brand awareness and demand generation to customer retention. Proven success in B2B and B2C marketing strategies.
  • Leadership: A natural leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Highly analytical with a strong grasp of marketing analytics, metrics, and reporting. Proficient with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot CRM systems, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex marketing concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Resilience: A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented startup environment.
  • Adaptability: The ability to be both strategic and hands-on, happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in the day-to-day execution.

Job Duties

Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with Locate a Locum's business goals and vision for both B2B (healthcare providers) and B2C (locum professionals) segments.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow the marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to drive maximum ROI.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to define product and market positioning, brand messaging, and go-to-market strategies.

Performance Marketing & Growth:

  • Oversee all digital marketing channels including SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, and email marketing to drive lead generation and user acquisition.
  • Utilise data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions to optimize performance.
  • Implement and manage a robust marketing automation system to nurture leads and improve customer lifecycle engagement.

Brand & Content:

  • Define and champion the Locate a Locum brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Develop a compelling content strategy that positions Locate a Locum as a thought leader in the health tech and healthcare recruitment space.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality content, including blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, videos, and social media content.

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Track and report on key marketing KPIs, providing regular updates to the leadership team on performance and progress against goals.
