We recently sat down with Gaynor McMahon to discuss her recent internal role change from Locum Success Consultant to Onboarding Lead within our Customer Success Team. Gaynor shares how she approached the opportunity and how she is finding this new challenge within the company.

What initially attracted you to Locate a Locum?

I was referred by a current employee so I knew Locate a Locum was a great place to work.

How long have you been with the company?

10 months now. I will be with Locate a Locum 1 year in July.

How did you approach an internal move?

When I first joined Locate a Locum I worked in the operations team as a Locum Success Consultant. I really enjoyed the role and working with the ops team, who are all great. I saw the Onboarding Lead role advertised internally and decided to speak with Chris English (Head of Delivery). We went over what the job would entail and by recognising the criteria I felt that the training, knowledge and experience I had gained so far gave me the confidence to apply for this role.

What's been your biggest challenge in your new role?

The biggest challenge has been starting my new role at such a busy time with large pharmacies being onboarded/going live and training all at the same time. Although it has been challenging it has allowed me to do more hands-on training and given me the opportunity to help at such an exciting time. The team has been so supportive during my training, even though it has been incredibly busy I know I can always ask for help and guidance. They are all only a Slack message away.

What is your favourite aspect of your new role?

My highlights so far have been onboarding two pharmacies, assisting with the onboarding/go-live of Asda and currently working to onboard Specsavers which is exciting. I am really enjoying the customer focus side of this role, meeting and talking to the pharmacies/customers, finding out what their success objectives are and working with them to ensure we meet their objectives.
