We want to share the “Made with Care” campaign at Locate. It is returning for a second year to highlight the wide range of opportunities available to build a career in care and help others to live happy, healthy, fulfilling lives.

With advertising planned across England, the ‘Made with Care’ campaign will reach millions of people this winter, highlighting the amazing work staff across the adult social care sector do and celebrating the way they empower the people they support – shining a light on the emotional rewards of the role to inspire more people to consider a job in adult social care.

Opportunities are available today and training is provided. Flexible working patterns are often available, making it the perfect career choice for those with other commitments.

Running until March 2023, campaign advertising will appear to millions across video-on-demand platforms such as ITV Hub, Sky Go and All 4; radio and digital audio channels such as Spotify; and social media and digital channels like Facebook and Instagram, to direct job seekers to Adult Social Care's website.

Campaign resources available

At Locate we often talk about the staffing crisis in the care sector and offer our advice on how managers can best recruit and retain permanent and bank staff. The “Made with Care” campaign supports these strategies by providing resources and ready-to-post social content, from graphics and videos to captions. In addition, you can also download flyers, posters, outside banners and so much more.

Rewarding nature of the job

By utilising these resources care home managers can highlight the benefits of a career in care. From training and development opportunities to the fulfilling nature of the job. It’s important to remind potential staff that they are changing someone’s life and if you’re of a caring nature, this job will be massively rewarding.

Minister for Care Helen Whately said:

I want to help care providers recruit the dedicated staff they need. There are great opportunities to join one of the country’s most important workforces.

Care workers do such an important job – a job that can also be truly rewarding.

We know in government we can help care providers get the message out about the opportunities in the sector. I hope this campaign will help boost the social care workforce across the country.

How to recruit and retain bank staff

There are various strategies that can be used to recruit and retain bank staff. From the get-go, it's important to ensure they are compliant to work in your care home. With our platform, all temporary staff have to upload essential documents to become registered. As an employer, you are able to view these documents to ensure they are both in date and valid.

Now that you’re sure your bank staff are compliant you can make them feel like part of the team from the beginning. It’s best to keep staff up to date with the latest news and changes that occur in the care home. By keeping both bank and full-time staff informed you are increasing the chances of their engagement with the latest developments and the wider team.
