A little bit about Dr. Mike Davies:
‘’Pharmascholar.co.uk is an online education / consultancy business originating from my passion for teaching and mentoring others. Whilst studying for my PhD at The University of Nottingham (2002 - 2005), I worked as an undergraduate demonstrator and taught numerous students key concepts underpinning prescription dispensing / over-the-counter medicines supply with related advice, dosage form manufacture and testing along with scientific writing skills.
After a period of real-world Community Pharmacy experience, I moved into the sphere of Academic Pharmacy where I worked as a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutics / Senior Lecturer in Medical Education for a period of 13 years. Here, I gained significant experience in teaching and assessing students along with the admissions process for university study and future job applications / interview skills.
I also have a range of professional accreditations (e.g. Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy) and have authored 17 peer-reviewed research papers.
My combined interest in Pharmacy and teaching others has led to the formation of my education consultancy company called Pharmascholar.co.uk. The consultancy we offer aims to be both informative and enjoyable.
Drawing on my background, I am able to help people with aspects including university admissions, course progression, non-medical prescribing and job applications’’.
