If you are hoping to book locum pharmacist shifts with Locate a Locum when you qualify as a pharmacist we recommend signing up to the platform now. Whilst we do require you to have your registration number, essential documents and accreditations you can start the registration process without them.
Getting registered
Registering as a locum pharmacist couldn’t be easier – it’s quick, free and our user friendly service makes it a walk in the park. The best bit is, you’ll beat the rush of newly qualified pharmacists joining agencies over the summer.
What you will need to provide when you sign up?
To register as a locum pharmacist we ask for the following things:
Registration Number – As a pharmacy student you probably won’t have this just yet. But don’t worry, we have a drop down for ‘Pre-Registration (Pharmacist) on our sign up page.
You won’t be able to book shifts until we have proof of your actual GPHC but as soon as you input this on our profile our compliance team will be able to approve your application to kickstart your locum pharmacist career.
You will also need to upload your photographic ID, indemnity insurance and a enhanced police check. We understand you may not have some of these items just yet but don’t worry we’ll be on hand to remind you to upload them before you are booked in to a shift.

When can I start booking locum shifts?
As soon as we have all of your essential documents you can complete the registration process. It’s that simple, with a few clicks you could be on your way to earning over 50K a year as a locum pharmacist!
