Hollygate Lodge is a Private Care Home based in Carryduff, just outside Belfast. It has over 49 care staff and up to 38 residents.

Challenges

    Hollygate Lodge had problems with managing the scheduling of their staff. They had three separate rotas running simultaneously which was extremely administration heavy for the home manager.

    As well as rota challenges, Hollygate used multiple spreadsheets to manage staff leave. They were keen to update leave management to improve communication with staff and give greater transparency of leave requests.

    The Home Manager also found it time-consuming communicating with her bank staff as they used multiple communication methods, such as Whatsapp. The team wanted to streamline this process and fill vacant shifts with greater ease.
